What can I put in a skip?
Skips are used for general waste, which can be anything generated from house clearance and property maintenance. Also building/construction waste that is neither liquid nor of a hazardous nature.
What can't go in a skip?
Items classed as hazardous waste cannot be placed in the skip – these include:
- No Fridges, Freezers or TV's
- Plasterboard
- Gas Bottles & Cylinders
- Medical Waste or Hazardous & Toxic Waste
- Oils & Filters (engine, hydraulic & cooking)
- Fluorescent Tubes
- Asbestos
- Paint & Paint Tins
- Solvents
- Resins
- Tyres
What size skip do I need?
We offer a wide range of skip sizes, from one ton bags up to 40 yard roll on/roll off skips. The most commonly ordered size is the 6 yard 'builders’ skip. Can you deliver a skip over a wall?
We certainly can. With the use of our lorry's extendable arms we are able to deliver skips over walls. Depending on the size of the skip there will be a minimum space required to do this.
